Last week, we spent a couple days in San Francisco.
We drove down early to take Little Man to the airport. It’s that time again. He went to his Dad’s, but he’ll only be gone about a month. On the way from the airport to the hotel, I told the husband I wanted to see the Painted ladies. He had no idea what I was talking about. I told him they were the houses from full house and he still had no clue. I mapped it out though and we found them without a problem.
We spent the night at the Marine Corps Memorial Hotel. We stayed there in 2010 too, but I’ll come back to that later. We checked into the hotel, then walked down to Union Square. My mother in law wanted to go to H&M and I wanted to go to Uniqlo. Uniqlo is a Japanese store, kinda like The Gap. They only have them in SF and NY, so I wanted to go while I could! We kinda drug the husbands into a few other stores too, so they were ready for a beer after all our shopping. Little Missy kept asking to ride the cable cars, so the guys went somewhere for a beer and my mother-in-law and I took her on a ride. She loved the ride down to Fisherman’s Wharf. She was right at the front and could see everything. On the way back, she wasn’t as thrilled, but she was sitting between two random people.
That afternoon we had drinks at the hotel for happy hour. If you are members of the Marine Memorial Association, happy hour is free!
The next morning, we roamed around a bit more, before heading home. We drove back down the next day to go to the Giants game. They just happened to be playing the Dodgers. It was a nice evening and a great game, the Dodgers won 10-2, but it was freezing! Even the hot chocolate I had didn’t help. We all had a good time though and it’s always fun to go to new baseball stadiums.
