It’s officially fall, even if it doesn’t feel like it in South Texas. Fall is the only season I semi decorate for. Maybe it’s the only season people decorate for. I don’t know, whatever. I like that many fall decorations work through Halloween and into November.
I don’t do tons of holiday and seasonal decorating, but as I’ve gotten older, I’ve obviously collected more items. It’s always fun to get a sneak peak into people’s houses, especially the ones you don’t see all the time, so here goes.
I’m still loving the new couch we bought a few months ago. I also ordered this chair. I picked the fabric and color and had it made, so I wasn’t sure how it would look, but I love it and it goes perfectly!
I’ve decided I’m no longer buying live pumpkins. It’s a lot of freaking work on my end to carve them and then they get moldy and collapse like two days later. I got this metal pumpkin at H-E-B and I’ll be buying more. The little one found the door decor and it was like $6, so why not?
October is Breast Cancer Awareness month, so my new rug fits in perfectly! Carpet One has produced the Pink Ribbon Mats again this year. There are 19 different mats, some designed by noted interior designers, with 25% of the proceeds going directly to the Breast Cancer Research Fund. These are awesome, sturdy mats. I’ve got one at my front and back door now. My front door rug is a year old and gets tons of traffic. It still looks great. They seriously hold up and wear well. These are available year round at Carpet One stores for $24.99.
Disclosure: I was provided a rug in exchange for my review. All opinions and thoughts are my own.
