It can be heard shopping for adults. Even teens and kids can be hard these days. I would much rather give the gift of experience. When that isn’t possible, I’d love to have the gift someone delayed. They find out about it on Christmas, but then don’t actually receive it until late. Like a subscription box. It just prolongs the fun. There are subscription boxes out there for anything and everything imaginable these days. Here’s a few great ones to consider for just about everyone in your life.
RawSpiceBar. Each box comes with three freshly ground spice mixes, local to a particular region. They can be customized for your diet. The boxes come with recipes to use the spices and there are plenty more online. I’ve received several of these boxes and I really like them. The recipes are never to difficult and the results have been amazing. Order in 3, 6 or 12 month subscriptions. Use code FLAVOR6 for $5 off a 6 or 12 month subscription.
There are a variety of kid subscription boxes out there, many as offshoots of adult boxes. The ones I like and have ordered for my kids include Kiwi Crate and Little Passports. These are both educational, while still being fun.
Kiwi Crate has different age levels, ranging from 3 all the way up to 16. Each crate or box is named and based on the age level. The Koala Crate is for preschoolers, the Kiwi Crate for young innovators aged 5-8, the Doodle Crate for art and design lovers aged 9-16, and the Tinker Crate is science and engineering for ages 9-16. Basically, something any kid will love. Use this link to save $10 off your order.
Little Passports has different boxes based on age, but also on topic. Ages range from 3 – 9+ and cover the USA, the World, early explorers, and science expeditions. If you already travel as a family, this is a fun way to continue the travel all year long. Save 15% off with the code JOLLY15.
Yes, there are even subscription boxes for veterans. Grunt Style has a monthly t-shirt subscription box for men and women. If you have a veteran in your life, odds are they will love them. Every vet I know does.
Many areas have a subscription box specific for them. Austin has a t-shirt of the month club. My Texas Market provides small batch, artisan goods from local farmers and small businesses in a monthly box. I’ve seen similar things from a variety of states, so do a search in your area to see what you can find.
Book of the Month Club allows you to pick a one of five books every month. Additional books can be picked each month for an additional $9.99. It’s the perfect gift that keeps on giving.
The Bookish box is themed and includes home, beauty, and fashion items, that all relate back to books. I would also love this one.
There are a lot of beauty boxes out there. The two most popular tend to be Birchbox and Ipsy.
Birchbox is for men or women and items are selected based on questions you answer. I did receive this as a gift one year and it was super easy. $10 a month and you get 5 beauty items.
Ipsy is a newer one that I see a lot of people rave about. It is also $10 for 5 beauty items, all which come in a fun makeup bag.
There are so many other random boxes out there. You can get them from everything from beer and whiskey to clothing and to complete randomness. One such box is the Kawaii Box. Having lived in Japan, I became a fan of the Japanese 100 yen store and all the kawaii items. This box does it for me. Each box contains 10 items, all super kawaii.
