Let’s talk about things that drive me batty. I mean seriously. These are above and beyond the normal things, like being able to hear my kids bite their nails. That sound is disgusting and I tell them that every time I catch them doing it. Shudder. Then there are the more localized things, like things your neighbors do that make you want to just ram their car. I don’t have any neighbors like that at the moment. We did at our last house though. Whoooooooo, they hated us, but only because my husband had the nerve to tell them, on more than one occasion (it was weekly), that their loud music at 3 am in their backyard, on a Tuesday, was not appreciated. He also caught their teenagers getting high in their car in front of our/their house. Yeah, they loved us.
Anyways, this one drives me crazy enough that I’m going to rant. There is a gas station near us that I frequent because they have the best fountain soda. It’s not a big place and the parking lot is kinda small. There are four entrances/exits into the parking lot. One from the frontage road (which is one way), one from the highway that runs perpendicular to the frontage road and the crosses over the interstate, one from the McDonald’s parking lot, and one from the the Walgreens parking lot. Look, here’s the layout, except you have to visualize the entrance from McDonald’s.
If you are wanting to get on the frontage road or cross over the interstate, the best idea is to go out the north or south exits to get you onto the frontage road. So many people though, try to make a left out of the east entrance onto the highway. They sit there forever and can never get out. Most people come in from the north off the frontage road, so why not go back out that way? You can’t make a left at the east exit. There is either traffic coming from your left/the north or traffic is backed up trying to go north. I see this every day though. For the most part, this does not affect me, but it still bothers me! Why does it bother me so much?!?! I do hate when I get stuck behind people trying to make a left when I want to go right, but if I see someone sitting there, I’ll just go out the south and cut through Walgreens.
Rant over. What’s going on with you?
