I always wish I could make gifts for Christmas, but honestly, they never turn out good. This one turned out so well though, I had to share! This would also be great for the kids to make something for parents or teachers.
I found quotes I liked online (thank you Pinterest), put them in a Word doc, resized them, and printed them out. Resize them based on the candle you are using and how big you want the wording to be. Once it was printed out, I traced them on to tissue paper. I used a nicer pen since that is what you’ll see on the candle. I can’t do all the different lettering freehand, but if you can, then it’s easy to write out what you want on the tissue paper.
Using the hair dryer, continuously blow heat over all the tissue paper, going back and forth. This is going to take a bit. It took me roughly 10 minutes per candle on this one. You’ll be able to tell when it’s done, as the tissue paper will be adhered to the candle.
Kid Art Candles
This works great for kids too. Have them draw a picture on the tissue paper, then proceed the same way. It’s a cute gift to give to a grandparent or their teachers. Everyone loves candles, right?
