I’ve been getting bored. I can only go to the PX so many times. Baby girl and I have started venturing out on our own. We’ve gotten good at driving around, but we go from base to base. We haven’t done much shopping on the economy yet. In the past few days, we hit up the 100 Yen store, a couple drugstores, and we found a mall!! I think it was a mall, anyways. It looked like a department store, but with different little sections that were each stores. They had lots of clothes (I’m kinda worried about buying their clothes, I’m not that big, but I’m bigger than them and don’t think things will fit), a grocery section, books, a teeny snack bar, home stuff, and what I think was sewing and craft stuff. Little Missy got mad then, so we left before I could look to close at it. She got happy quick when she saw this. I paid the 50 yen and she loved the ride!
The 100 Yen store is just fun. I had heard about it and had been wanting to go, so we went. Talk about everything you could never need and then some! It’s way more stuff than our Dollar Store. I bought a few things, mostly for hubby’s niece for Christmas.
These made me think of the glasses you got at like Burger King in the 80’s
How fun are these! More fun than the plain beige plastic ones we have.
This was just kinda funny. I guess we have the wrong kind of lunch boxes
The drugstores were really fun. The brands I recognized had English and Japanese on the packaging. I had a hard time figuring out what a lot of things were if they weren’t in English. They only brands I recognized where Biore, Nivea, Johnson’s baby stuff, and Curel. All the packaging is so fun.
No words required – the picture says it all
These girls love them some scrunchies!
Baby Formula – at least I think that’s what it is
I guess women in all cultures want to be skinny
Can I get these for my stomach please? My calves aren’t fat.
I know this one!
I also stopped by a store that sold all brand name bags and accessories. We are talking Coach, Chanel, Dior, Burberry, etc. I couldn’t see all the prices because the bags were behind the counter, but I did see a price on one of the Coach bags – 73,800 yen. Whipped out my iPhone to do the currency converter…$890. Seriously? No wonder they are always clustered around the purses at the PX.
There is tons more places I want to go. I need someone to go shopping with me! My sister needs to come see me so we can shop!!
