I get a lot of emails wanting me to post about this or that on here. I scan through all of them and most get trashed. Sometimes though, I get one that is truly special.
This guy, Tony Ferrari, is an independent artist. I’ll just quote the email. This may have been a mass email, whatever, I don’t care. It still hit home with me.
My name is Tony Ferrari and I am a 21-year-old musician from Thousand Oaks, California. I am an independent artist and I really wanted to reach out to you… To say thank you.
The fact that you fight through the distance and the stress each day is something so admirable, I can’t start to describe it. You support your spouses who are doing the most admirable thing I can think of, and I am eternally grateful for what both of you do. I know that I represent an entire nation when I say THANK YOU. And thank you for having a love that is strong enough to last through the distance.
Distance can be one of the hardest things. But no matter what the circumstances, love is always stronger than distance. What you do is selfless, and that is what’s beautiful. With your love, distance is just a number. What really matters is the love.
I wrote a song called “Distance” which is all about fighting for love through distance. In a time when people told me that long-distance relationships never work, this song is a reminder that distance is just a number, and love conquers all. And this is where “Distance” was born. The main line is “If I love you dear, then what the hell is distance?” and I only hope that you can listen to it and relate, and know that so many people appreciate you and your loved one.
Watch this video. This guy can sing, it’s a sweet song, a sweeter video, and most of us will relate.
