|I think the arrow is about where we are!|
Seriously! My first typhoon was so disappointing. It was no worse than a midwest storm. It rained and was windy enough to knock some good size tree limbs down, but that was about it. We did lose internet, but never lost power at all. Everything is back to normal today. Hubby went to work, little man went to school. I bet his field trip is canceled though. We did have a fun day, just hanging out at home in our jammies. We played, watched movies, and just hung out. It was nice.
Typhoon Chaba is coming or it might be here already, I’m not real sure. We were at TCCOR 3 (Destructive winds of 50 knot or greater possible within 48 hours) yesterday. This morning we were at TCCOR 1 (same winds are anticipated within 12 hours). Hubby went to work, but came home early. School was canceled and hubby said everything on base was closed. We are now at TCCOR 1 Caution (same as TCCOR 1, but actual winds is 34-49 knots and everything is closed).
A knot is apparently 1.15 mph. I had to look it up.
It’s raining outside, but that isn’t so bad. It’s so windy! I’m from the midwest, this isn’t anything exciting yet. It’s like a really bad thunderstorm, just without the thunder part. Hubby says we will get the worst of it tonight, so we’ll see! It’s weird. It’s like a snow day, but it’s warm outside!
