I got up super early for my interview. I didn’t know how long the drive would take with traffic, so I left extra early, per hubby’s instructions. I was there an hour early, but I would rather be early than late! The interview went well, so we’ll see.
I got home and attempted to take a nap. I’ve got a horrible cold. I don’t really feel that bad most of the time, but I’m so stopped up and this cough is killing me! My nap was interrupted by maintenance. Our ceiling was leaking Sunday evening. We found the problem, one of the upstairs air conditioners was plugged and leaking, so we fixed that, but the ceiling in the living room looked horrid. Chunks of it had fallen off. It’s kind of ridiculous that this is the second time they have fixed my living room ceiling, but it’s fixed.
I then picked up little man from school. The school nurse had done a vision test last week that he failed and she recommended that we take him to an actual optometry appointment. The kid did great! They did that horrible glaucoma test where they blow the puff of air in your eye. I HATE that test! I blink every time because I know it’s coming. He had no problem with it. They even dilated his eyes. He didn’t like that so much, but I promised him ice cream. He does need glasses. I have the prescription, so now I just need to take him to buy them. I was really hoping the kids would get their father’s eye site. My eyes are terrible. Even with my contacts in, I had to squint and turn my head just right to read some of the letters at his appointment. I got glasses when I was 7. Poor kid is only 5. He thought that no one would recognize him with them on. Poor kid.
I did take him out for ice cream as promised. We came home, then walked to the playground near our house. Baby girl does everything her brother does. It’s too cute. Before bathtime, I put her on the toilet like I always do. She finally peed in it! She looked at me like I was crazy when I started clapping and cheering. I don’t have high hopes yet, she is only 20 months, but I have been putting her on it when I change her and before bath time. Yea baby girl!
